The Life/Career Success System - Internal Communications

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION

We communicate internally and externally those that are focused on their internal communication are able to effectively communicate their desires to others with their well-developed external communications skills. They have learnt to master the inner and outer communications game. In order for your action plan to materialise quickly and continuously and also if you are determined to increase self-confidence and enthusiasm to continue to grow you will need the following:

  ·  The power of affirmations
  ·  The art of visualisation

An affirmation is a positive declaration that describes what you want to be, what you want to have, or how you want to live your life. An affirmation uses the power of spaced repetition while keeping uppermost in your mind all the time what you really want. This is nothing new it has been around a long time. It is also very simple, very effective and does work. You don’t have to be an Olympic athlete to use them your life / career is just as important.

Talking to yourself ‘self-talk’ is exceptionally powerful it can be conscious and self directed or subliminal or automatic. Self-talk is creating a psychological reinforcement of your opinions and ideas. Objectively an affirmation may not change anything but subjectively it certainly does. You live up to what is expected of you - in real terms this means living up to what you expect of yourself.

By practising the use of affirmations the law of reinforcement begins to work for you. First you begin to look at those strengths and changes which you have affirmed, because you expect such change you will begin to act like the person you have affirmed, because you expect such change you will become your self-fulfilling prophecy.

REPETITION AND DISPLACEMENT

The most powerful affirmation is one that you have composed for yourself and is tailored to have specific application to your goals, your action plan and your personality. This makes your affirmation powerful because it relates to your personal goals and your sense of values; therefore it leads to significant changes in your personality and your life and your career direction. These affirmations work according to the law of displacement. You can displace or eliminate negative thoughts - by constantly feeding your mind positive beliefs. These thoughts with the use of repetition will begin to form new positive thought habits. These new thoughts will displace the old negative thoughts, doubts, fears and indecision.

TYPES OF AFFIRMATIONS

  ·  Pictorial Affirmations - have a powerful effect to intensify and build desire in our subconscious mind. If you look often at a picture that represents your goal you are able to stimulate your imagination to help you create and bring about ways and means of making the picture a reality.
  ·  Verbal Affirmations - are condensed statements of a desired end result or an attitude you wish to possess. Conceive Believe Achieve
  ·  Actions - can become affirmations. Listening to tapes - positive affirmations that perhaps you have recorded or professional development programme you have bought such as this one. Through developing self-talk, use of affirmations will become the most important habit. People who are successful in business invariably use positive affirmations to support their attitudes and habits. These can be in the form of mottoes, creeds or principles for action

THE ART OF VISUALISATION TO SUPPORT AFFIRMATIONS

The art of visualisation enables you to move from the area of dreams - affirmations, into the hard light of reality - visualisation. To use visualisation to the best advantage you need to learn to use it in its highest form that of relating the present to the future. Through visualisation you will see ‘what is’ to the ‘what can be’. You will create this picture of what you want to be in your mind and you will view it repeatedly.

You can visualise anything you can conceive. You can create anything you can visualise. There is no way to reach a goal until you have a clearly defined mental image of that goal. When you free your imagination, visualise your goals with controlled attention and concentrated energy you are able to see some startling results in your life and your career direction. Three key elements to remember when visualising are:

1.   Visualisation changes a general idea into something more specific the unknown becomes known and the indefinite becomes definite.
2.   Visualisation enables you to see what isn’t working in your plan and allows you to make corrections before mistakes occur.
3.   Concentrated visualisation enables you to refine details.

Determination needs to be added to affirmations and visualisation. When you affirm your goals with belief and confidence and visualise them with clarity and accuracy your goals are already in the process of becoming reality. You are on the way to success because in a sense you have already arrived - you have pre-tasted the satisfaction of your achievements and ultimately the success that you have worked so hard for!
